Founder and CEO

Jason Lamberts

Jason Lamberts is the founder and creative intellect of GenesisIQ Ltd. He is a professionally trained cartographer, graphic designer and lifelong purveyor of new and creative ideas. His goal is to bring intelligent thinking to challenges and provide sound solutions.

Having worked in consulting for 25 years, his career began with a 3,600 kilometre journey from Ontario to Nelson, British Columbia. He developed skills in drafting, mapping and GIS within the Forestry Industry. His early career lessons were adaptation and the importance of change management. The softwood lumber tariff issues at the time created challenges for local companies to remain profitable. Seizing an opportunity, he purchased the mapping company he worked for and maintained years of profitability. His adaptability to market conditions and pursuit of diversification served him well. An advocate for community, he took pride in creating Nelsons first Mountain Bike Trail map. He was locally recognized for the achievement.

Ready for a change, an exciting career opportunity brought him to Calgary to work in seismic exploration and then on to the environmental sector. He fell in love with the frenetic and constantly changing aspect of the industries. Jason developed keen skills in time management, multi-tasking and project management. He was responsible for managing the GIS department, First Nations Consultation, Government Applications and Negotiations, field package preparation and daily operations. He is a robust problem solver and an advocate for social equality. A regular at the Drop-In Centre helping serve meals, he is also the founder of the Phoenix Foundation. A foundation comprised of passionate volunteers working towards bringing additional mobile services to the homeless in Calgary.

Jason is a driven entrepreneur who has a desire to create and bring solutions to the world. Jason’s life and leadership are grounded in the values of integrity, community and excellence.
